Offered to Grade 9 Canadian boarding students residing full time in Canada.
Lakefield College School has long prided itself on the diverse representation among its community members, routinely welcoming students from over 40 countries around the globe. Roughly two thirds of Lakefield students also join us from across Canada—from Prince Edward Island to British Columbia, and the southern tip of Ontario to the farthest reaches of the North. Regardless of where they call home, all LCS students enjoy the beautiful natural Canadian setting and campus of our school.
LCS is grateful for the generosity of members of our community who have inspired the creation of this Entrance Award of Distinction.

Process to Apply
In order to qualify for the Canadian National Boarder Entrance Award of Distinction, we ask that candidates:
Complete the LCS admissions process
Enter Grade 9 as a boarding student
Be a Canadian citizen residing full time in Canada
Write an email and/or record a video (admissions@lcs.on.ca), addressed to the Awards of Distinction Committee, outlining a desire to positively care, connect, or contribute to an internationally diverse student body (Limit: 650 words and/or two-minutes)
Submit a letter of reference from an instructor/teacher highlighting your commitment to care, connect, or contribute to those around you. References are also asked to comment on how you demonstrate any or all of the following: responsibility, organization, independence, initiative, teamwork, self-regulation (Limit: 650 words)
Demonstrate academic success by obtaining a minimum overall academic average of 80% (or equivalent)
Please note that each of the steps outlined above can be completed through your LCS Parent Portal account created when submitting an application. Alternatively, documents can be sent to the Admissions team member assisting you throughout the admissions process.

Lakefield College School is a private, coeducational boarding and day school for students in grades 9 through 12, located in Lakefield, Ontario, Canada.
We respectfully acknowledge that Lakefield College School is located on the Treaty 20 Michi Saagiig territory and in the traditional territory of the Michi Saagiig and Chippewa Nations, collectively known as the Williams Treaties First Nations, which include: Curve Lake, Hiawatha, Alderville, Scugog Island, Rama, Beausoleil, and Georgina Island First Nations.
