Grad Class Jumps 2024
In the midst of a heatwave, our Grade 12 students eagerly participated in the annual Grad Jumps tradition, a rite of passage that symbolizes the end of their high school journey and the beginning of new adventures. This year’s event was marked by not only the excitement of the jump but also the welcome relief from the hot and humid weather.
Our Grads, donning shirts covered in signatures from their peers and beloved faculty members, gathered at the waterfront, ready to take the plunge. The tradition of signing shirts stands as a poignant reminder of the strong bonds and lasting memories formed within the LCS community.
Adding a special twist to this year’s Grad Jumps, the entire school community—including faculty, staff, and students—assembled at the waterfront to cheer on the Grads and enjoy a community BBQ. The atmosphere was filled with camaraderie and celebration as everyone came together to support our graduates.
As Grads leaped into the refreshing waters of Lake Katchewanooka, they were met with enthusiastic cheers and applause from their peers, teachers, friends, and even some parents! The hot weather only amplified the joy and exhilaration of the moment, making the plunge into the lake even more gratifying.
This year’s Grad Jumps exemplified the spirit and unity of the LCS community, highlighting the resilience and joy of our graduating class. It was a memorable celebration that captured the essence of what it means to be a part of Lakefield College School.

Lakefield College School is a private, coeducational boarding and day school for students in grades 9 through 12, located in Lakefield, Ontario, Canada.
