Empowering Leadership at the 2024 Grad Leadership Conference

This week, we kicked off the school year with a cherished tradition: the Grad Leadership Conference. Our Grade 12 students came together for an immersive experience designed to help them embrace their roles as leaders within our school community.

Throughout the conference, our Grads engaged in workshops and activities focused on key leadership qualities such as empathy, teamwork, trust, and inclusivity. These sessions offered them the chance to reflect on their responsibilities as role models, both in their interactions with younger students and in shaping the spirit and culture of Lakefield College School.

The conference also introduced our Senior Student Leadership Model (Seniors in Charge, or SICs), which ensures that every Grad has the opportunity to contribute meaningfully to school life. With a focus on shared leadership, students explored how they can inspire engagement and foster a welcoming and connected community at The Grove.

As we look ahead, we are excited to see how our Grade 12 students will use their leadership to influence and uplift their peers, creating a lasting legacy at LCS.
