Culinary Arts Intensive

Students will spend their days learning about the process of food production through authentic hands-on learning experiences. Students will roll up their sleeves and learn introductory knife skills, food preparation techniques, and the basics around creating and presenting new ideas for food with a focus on locally sourced food. Some of the food prepared will be donated to a local food bank. There will be an opportunity for students to earn community service hours as an element of this program.

  • CULINARY ARTS INTENSIVE: Grade 8-12 | 1 Session: JULY 7 - July 11

    Students will spend their days learning about the process of food production through authentic hands-on learning experiences. Students will roll up their sleeves and learn introductory knife skills, food preparation techniques, and the basics of creative presentation with a focus on locally sourced ingredients. Some of the food prepared will be donated to a local food bank. There will be an opportunity for students to earn community service hours as an element of this program. The overnight option is rounded out by evening programming at our beautiful waterfront campus.

    $505 - Day
    $1,320 - Overnight
    Overnight campers arrive the day before the program start date before dinner; exact arrival time will be shared closer to the program.

    Optional weekend excursions are available for an additional cost (e.g., Canada's Wonderland; 4th Line Theatre). Select excursions during registration.

    Prerequisites
    Campers must be entering Grade 8-12 in September, 2025.

Lakefield College School Summer Academy and Programs provide enrichment camps and credit courses for campers ages 4-18, located in Lakefield, Ontario, Canada.
