Waterfront Certification Intensive

This five-day intensive program will provide strong swimmers Grades 8-12 with the opportunity to work toward their Bronze Med certification and their Emergency First Aid for part of each day, and the other portion of the day will be spent working toward building other waterfront skills, including canoeing, stand-up paddle boarding, and sailing.

  • Waterfront Certification Intensive: Grade 8-12 | 1 Session: July 14 - July 18

    This five-day intensive program will provide strong swimmers with the opportunity to work toward their Bronze Med certification and their Emergency First Aid during their time at camp. Mornings will be spent in the water for swimming practice and assessments, with afternoons based in the classroom learning and practicing core competencies to fulfil the certifications. Once the certifications are finished for the week, campers will have the opportunity to join in other camp activities.

    Certifications in this program are not guaranteed as certain competencies must be met to achieve the varying levels of certification. Please see the Bronze Med course requirements and Emergency First Aid course requirements for further information regarding competencies that must be met to achieve either of these certifications.

    $1,360 - Overnight
    Overnight campers arrive the day before the program start date before dinner; exact arrival time will be shared closer to the program.

    Optional weekend excursions are available for an additional cost (e.g., Canada's Wonderland; 4th Line Theatre). Select excursions during registration.

    Prerequisites
    Campers must be competent swimmers and comfortable in open water.
    Campers must be entering Grade 8-12 in September, 2025.

Lakefield College School Summer Academy and Programs provide enrichment camps and credit courses for campers ages 4-18, located in Lakefield, Ontario, Canada.
