St. Nicholas Day Celebrations Light Up LCS
St. Nicholas Day brought joy and festive cheer to the LCS community, thanks to a wonderful chapel presentation organized by our International Club and Student Intercultural Council leaders for International Student Affairs, Lasse ’25 and Helena ’25.
The presentation explored the history of the holiday, shared stories of how it is celebrated across various countries, and included personal recollections of holiday traditions from our students, showcasing the diverse cultural heritage within our school.
On the evening of December 5th, the LCS community embraced the tradition by placing boots outside their residences. The next morning, excitement filled the air as students discovered that St. Nicholas had visited campus, leaving treats for all the "good children."
The celebrations continued with a lively and delicious dinner in the dining hall, featuring authentic European treats and handmade dishes. With candies scattered throughout the dining hall, students eagerly collected extra goodies to share with friends, making the evening even more special.
St. Nicholas Day remains a cherished tradition at LCS, reflecting the warmth and vibrancy of our international community. It’s one of many ways our students share their cultures, creating meaningful connections and lasting memories.
