LCS 1st Boys Hockey Team Triumphs at Armstrong Invitational

This past weekend, Lakefield College School hosted the second annual Armstrong Invitational Hockey Tournament at the Lakefield Arena, a special event that honours Bob Armstrong’s legacy. The tournament, which has quickly become a beloved tradition, brought together top-tier teams for a weekend of competition.

The highlight of the weekend was Friday night’s game against Loyola High School, which doubled as our long-awaited Hockey Night spirit event—the first in five years. The arena echoed with cheers from our community, who came together to celebrate LCS hockey and school spirit.

The 1st Boys Hockey Team battled their way to the finals, facing off against Upper Canada College in a thrilling championship game. With determination and teamwork, the team emerged victorious, securing a 3-0 win to claim the tournament title.

Congratulations to our players, coaches, and supporters for making this tournament a success both on and off the ice. Events like these highlight the strength of our community and the joy of shared traditions.
