Despite the unpredictable weather, Mr. Andras’ Grade 11 Leadership in Outdoor Recreation classes embarked on an unforgettable winter camping adventure, showcasing resilience, camaraderie, and a deep connection with the great outdoors.
Braving the rainy conditions, our students set up tents and embraced the cold. Despite the rain and mild temperatures, they found joy in tobogganing down snowy slopes, playing campfire games, and sharing stories under the starlit sky.
One of the trip's highlights was the evening night hike, where students ventured into the heart of our Northcote Campus without flashlights. The sound of a distant wolf howl and the sight of constellations overhead made the experience a memorable one.
In the morning, students gathered around the winter kitchen to prepare breakfast together. From pancakes and bacon to fried granola, our students created a menu based on their favourite meals from past trips.
Here's to classic winter camping fun and the resilient spirits of our students!
