Exploring the Wild: Grade 9s Embark on Outdoor Adventure in Kawartha Highlands

Our Grade 9 students recently returned from an unforgettable 3-day canoe trip through the breathtaking landscapes of Kawartha Highlands Provincial Park. This immersive experience provided an opportunity for our students to apply their outdoor skills, foster teamwork, and demonstrate their resilience in the face of new challenges.

Throughout the expedition, students navigated the serene waters, negotiated portages, and set up camp with precision and determination. From cooking meals over open flames to practicing responsible stewardship with the "Leave No Trace" principles, our students exemplified their commitment to environmental sustainability and outdoor ethics.

This year's trip was made even more memorable as Ms. Kee joined them on their adventure, canoeing and hiking alongside students!

Congratulations to our Grade 9 adventurers for their outstanding teamwork, growth, and adaptability during this transformative journey. This trip not only provided unforgettable memories but also marked a significant milestone in their outdoor education at LCS.
