2024 Toronto Alumni Dinner: A Night of Connection and Celebration
Our Annual Alumni Dinner in Toronto was a night to remember, drawing together an exceptional gathering of the LCS community in record numbers. This year’s turnout was the largest in recent years, a testament to the enduring bonds and shared experiences that connect our alumni.
The evening opened with a warm welcome and a moving keynote address by David Hadden P ’97 ’00, whose reflections on the power of the LCS spirit set the tone for the night. Imran Habib ’02 shared his own heartfelt memories, resonating with alumni across generations as he reflected on the lifelong impact of his Lakefield experiences.
Guided by Bruce McMahon P ’12 as emcee, the night was filled with laughter and poignant moments. Head of School Anne-Marie Kee P ’17 ’19 delivered a tribute to John Runza P ’17 ’20, celebrating his 30 years of dedicated service to LCS with humorous and heartfelt anecdotes that reminded everyone of the lasting legacy of teachers who go above and beyond. The evening was made even more special by a performance from the staff choir, beautifully accompanied by Pam and Syd Birrell P ’13, adding a touch of music to the celebration.
Thank you to everyone who joined us for this memorable night. Your presence, stories, and shared laughter brought the LCS community to life, and we look forward to coming together again next year to celebrate, reconnect, and continue building memories.
