Ms. Hansler’s Law classes participated in a mock crime scene experience on campus. Students took notes, photographed the scene and collected evidence (fingerprints, DNA, fibre and hair samples). Evidence that was collected will be analyzed in upcoming classes, and presented along with their hypothesis of what happened at the scene, and who the suspect is.
We were lucky to have Constable Richard Nie join us for the mock crime scene to add his insight and answer any questions our budding investigators had. Constable Nie regularly connects with students and staff during classrooms talks or for school, staff and parent presentations on topics important to our community and directly connected to the fulfillment of our school values including such things as drugs, bullying and harassment, risk management, safety and security and other issues.
