This spring, Lakefield College School’s theatre department delighted audiences with a captivating production of Clue. Based on the iconic 1985 Paramount movie and inspired by the classic Hasbro board game, this hilarious farce-meets-murder mystery kept everyone on the edge of their seats.
Set in a remote mansion, Clue follows six mysterious guests who gather for an unusual dinner party where murder and blackmail are on the menu. Our talented cast brought each character to life with wit and flair, delivering an unforgettable performance across three nights on May 23, 24, and 25. To our audience's delight, the cast performed three unique shows, each featuring a different conclusion.
The audience, composed of students, teachers, staff, parents, alumni, and community members, filled the theatre with laughter and applause. The energy in the room was palpable as the plot twists and turns unfolded, leaving everyone guessing until the very end.
In the Director's Note, Ms. St. John, Ms. Lechtzier, and Ms. Taylor shared, “Clue has been a show we’ve been looking forward to directing for a long time, and we are so grateful to finally be able to share a production of this show with our community. Working with our incredible cast and crew has been a true privilege. Despite the whirlwind of exams, outdoor adventures, and scheduling puzzles this spring term, our cast has assembled like pieces on the game board. We've shared laughter that echoes throughout the mansion, and tears as enigmatic as the game's secrets. Prepare to embark on the thrilling journey of Clue with us—it's bound to be an evening of intrigue and surprise, just like the game itself!”
Congratulations to the entire cast and crew for their hard work and dedication. Your passion and creativity made Clue a spectacular success and a highlight of the spring term. Thank you to everyone who attended and supported our theatre program.
