Our athletes delivered an action-packed week of competition, showcasing their talent and determination across multiple sports. From the ice to the court, here’s a breakdown of the latest results.
Hockey Highlights
1st Boys Hockey started the week with a 1-0 win over last year’s league champions, RSGC, with a shutout from Brody ’27 and a goal by Chase ’26. They followed up with a 5-1 victory over Greenwood, powered by four goals from Jud McGowan ’25 and a goal from Kaydn ’25. Over the weekend, they defended their title at the TCS Bigside Boys' Hockey Tournament, winning all four games and defeating TCS 2-0 in the final, thanks to goals from Will ’25 and Chase ’26, plus another stellar shutout from Brody Brown.
2nd Boys Hockey faced SJK but came up short in a 4-2 battle.
Basketball Battles
1st Boys Basketball played an exhibition match against Adam Scott, where Oliver ’25 made an impressive in-game slam dunk. They bounced back later in the week with a 50-34 win over SAC, led by Holmes’ 22-point performance.
Jr. Boys Basketball took on BVG, falling short despite Harshan’s ’27 perfect 8-for-8 free-throw shooting and Ethan’s ’28 first LCS basket, a late-game three-pointer.
Volleyball Action
1st Girls Volleyball battled a country day school in a hard-fought five-set match but fell just short. They look to rebound against TCS in their final regular season game.
2nd Girls Volleyball battled hard in two matchups last week. On the road against TCS, they played back-to-back games, winning one and dropping the other. Later, they faced Hawthorn in an intense showdown, with both teams earning a win to end in a tie. Shoutout to Cassidy ’25 for her hard work and determination, keeping LCS competitive in both matches. Keep it up, team!
