Our Team Racing program not only allows students to take advantage of Lakefield's pristine waterfront, it promotes healthy competition and develops teamwork, strategic thought and communication skills.

Process to Apply
In order to qualify for a Team Racing Award of Distinction, we ask that candidates:
Complete the LCS admissions process
Write an email and/or record a video (admissions@lcs.on.ca), addressed to the Awards of Distinction Committee, indicating your interest in being considered for this award and identify what makes you a strong candidate (Limit: 650 words and/or two-minutes)
Submit a letter of reference from a sailing instructor/coach outlining your experience and skill. References are also asked to comment on how you demonstrate any or all of the following: responsibility, organization, independence, initiative, teamwork, self-regulation (Limit: 650 words)
Demonstrate academic success by obtaining a minimum overall academic average of 80% (or equivalent)
Please note that each of the steps outlined above can be completed through your LCS Parent Portal account created when submitting an application. Alternatively, documents can be sent to the Admissions team member assisting you throughout the admissions process.
Criteria for Renewal
The Team Racing Award of Distinction may be renewed annually, provided that families complete the Apple Financial Services application and financial need is demonstrated. Additionally, applicants must:
Maintain an academic average of 80% or above
Participate in two terms of competitive sailing
Have no academic failures
Maintain a standard of good behavior and citizenship
Short-listed candidates may be contacted for an interview.

Lakefield College School is a private, coeducational boarding and day school for students in grades 9 through 12, located in Lakefield, Ontario, Canada.
