Holiday Breaks
Quiet Weekends
There are a number of Quiet Weekends throughout the school year that begin in the winter term. You are encouraged to take weekend leave to return home or visit with a friend’s family to rest. Residences remain open for students who wish to stay on campus. On Quiet Weekends, the school will often offer special supervised activities such as shopping, trips to professional sports games, skiing other attractions.
Holiday Breaks
Christmas Break and March Break are extended breaks when international students have the chance to return home to their families for a vacation. This is also the time best suited for travel on one of LCS' Global Learning trips.
During holiday long weekends, there are special supervised excursions available to places such as Ottawa (Canada’s capital city), Toronto and Niagara Falls. Some excursions cross the border into the United States when we visit Washington D.C., New York City, Disney World. In order to take advantage of as many opportunities as possible, it is recommended that students from countries requiring a US Visa arrive with one that is valid throughout the school year. There is never a shortage of fun excursions to participate in but for students wishing a more quiet time, opportunities exist for homestays and chaperoned "staycations" within the local area.

Lakefield College School is a private, coeducational boarding and day school for students in grades 9 through 12, located in Lakefield, Ontario, Canada.
