Artist of the Month: November 2020

We are so pleased to present our Artist of the Month awards for November to recognize the accomplishments and dedication of incredibly talented students.

During the month of October, students were invited to respond to a new drawing prompt each day as part of the annual Inktober drawing challenge. The first Artist of the Month award was presented to Hinako Hotta '21, Grace Devitt '21, Arina Stolyar '21, Maggie Sharpe '22 and Victoria Li '22 who participated consistently throughout the month to create 31 unique sketches. Well done everyone!

The second award was presented to Gaku Ogawa '22. Gaku is passionate about music and he spends many hours in the music room practicing and working on intricate jazz and classical skills. Gaku also collaborates well with other musicians in the school regularly, both in rehearsals and in his free time. He is an exceptional member of the Jazz Band and the Concert Band. Gaku is a leading musician at LCS and we congratulate him on this award.

The third award was presented to Charlie Ward '23. As a member of the LCS Dance Company, Grove Records and the Musical Theatre Winter Term Co-Curricular program, Charlie brings a sense of passion and professionalism with her to every practice. She is also a brilliant dramatic arts student, talented musician, singer and dancer. Charlie’s passion for performing and her stage presence is second to none. She adds to multiple areas of the arts in the school and is very deserving of this award.

Congratulations to our recipients!
