The Heart of Robin Hood Pulls No Punches
In The Heart of Robin Hood, characters are uplifted by love and destroyed by ambition but for the actors, the tech crew and the directors it is as much about the performance as it is about aligning with Eleanor Roosevelt’s challenge and doing what you think you cannot.

Regatta Day
Over 700+ students, staff, parents, alumni and friends joined in on the Regatta Day activities which included an address from His Royal Highness The Duke of York '78, canoeing and sailing races (in between the thunderstorms!); a summit for visiting LCS Head Students spanning every decade from the 1950s to today; live performances from LCS alumnus Kane Miller ’08’s local Celtic group Hunt the Hare; a student art show and the final performance of the school’s spring play, The Heart of Robin Hood, among other activities.

1st Girls' Soccer Wins Gold
After playing a fantastic season, with only 4 goals scored against them including the playoffs, the 1st Girls' Soccer team played with class and with character, representing LCS in a way that is consistent with our values, to win the CISAA Championship.

Rowing on Lake Katchewanooka
This spring, the 1st Rowing team were able to row on campus, along Lake Katchewanooka for their morning practices.

Pitch@Palace
Six students from Lakefield College School’s Entrepreneurship Team, along with Head of School Anne-Marie Kee, were lucky enough to attend the Pitch@Palace Canada 1.0 Boot Camp at the BMO Institute for Learning, Toronto.

Historic Week for LCS
Two LCS families expressed their support of the school through commitments of very generous gifts. Both the John '68 and Jane Hepburn Family and the Parent Family have made very generous donations in support of a number of the school’s top strategic priorities.

Celebrating Pride Week
This spring, LCS celebrated its first Pride Week. The week was organized by Kit Wright ’19, Sophie Gray ’22 and Claire Campbell ’19, student members of both Safe Space and THRIVE, who shared a communal vision of promoting equality and fostering inclusivity.

Rock Choir Performs for the Community
The LCS Rock Choir, comprised of close to 50 singers and musicians, performed live for a studio audience at The Venue in downtown Peterborough as part of Michelle Ferreri's Live In Show series.

Lives of Leadership
Five students spent five incredible days visiting Harvard's Graduate schools in Design, Business, Law, Kennedy School Institute of Politics, Education and visited Massachusetts Institute of Technology and Boston College, including the Martin Luther King private library.

Our Own Change Maker
Faith Dickinson, a Grade 11 student at LCS, was chosen as one of the 12 young people from across the world to take part in the Diana Award's #Change_Makers campaign.

Lakefield CSI
Students took notes, photographed the scene and collected evidence (fingerprints, DNA, fibre and hair samples) during a mock crime scene investigation on campus.

LCS Snowboard Park
After building snowboarding rails at home in Quebec, Simon Dutil ’20 brought his expertise and passion to LCS, where he built and welded four rails to create the LCS Park on Matthews Hill.

Nordic CISAA / COSAA Championships
The LCS course is challenging because it is mainly up and down with very few spots to catch your breath; however, with the home field advantage, all of our skiers had great races!

A Sleigh Surprise
Did you know LCS is rumoured to have the second largest collection of sleighs in Canada - roughly 50 in total? This winter, Barb and Tom ’53 Ryder surprised Head of School Anne-Marie Kee with a gift of a new sleigh.

Snow Day
Anne-Marie Kee announced a snow day at morning Chapel. Our students then embraced this Canadian winter day and headed out to play in the snow!

Chinese Food and Cultural Festival
Students, parents and staff gathered in celebration for the second annual LCS Chinese Food and Culture Festival. Generously led by a passionate group of parent volunteers, the festival was created with two main goals in mind: to help share the rich history of Chinese food and culture with the LCS community, and to help give our Chinese students, who come from so far away, an authentic taste of home.

More than 400 students and staff members enjoyed a fabulous day of skiing/snowboarding during the annual Ted Pope Day.

The main purpose of the THRIVE/Jack Chapter at LCS is to increase the happiness and well-being of every person in the school.

Mamma Mia!
More than one thousand people attended Mamma Mia!, not because they were directly connected to the cast, crew or even the school but attended for no other reason than they wanted to be temporarily transported from a cold Canadian winter to a small island off the coast of Greece.

Anne-Marie Kee joined the students in the frigid waters of Lake Katchewanooka for the MOlar Bear Dip in support of Movember.

Student delegates from both public high schools and independent schools from Whitby to North Hastings attended the second annual Women's Empowerment Conference, From Invisibility to Empowerment—See Me. Hear Me. Empower Me.

Paddling Extravaganza
Over 700 people attended the official opening of Lakefield College School’s waterfront which celebrated its incredible community of supporters and showcased a 10km paddle in support of the Canadian Canoe Museum.

LCS Speaker Series
This year, we have welcomed LCS alumni and alumni parents to speak to our school community as part of the LCS Speaker Series. Guests have included Charlie Bierk ’05, Greg Douglas ’08, Rosemary Ganley (alumni parent and former staff member), Tony Harris ’82, David Miller ’77, Neil Morton (current and alumni parent), Martha Ramsay ’06, Melanie Wright ’02 and Crystal Yang ’11.

1st Girls’ Field Hockey Win Gold
Congratulations to the 1st Girls’ Field Hockey team that not only won the CISAA gold medal (topping Appleby 7-1 in the finals) but had an undefeated season!
