Welcome parents of Lakefield College School. We are excited about the upcoming school year with a number of great events and activities planned to help you feel fully engaged with the LCS community.
There are so many ways to get involved! From local and international community events, open houses and parent socials to mentoring and ad hoc committees for various initiatives, there are many wonderful ways for you to participate and be involved in the life of the school.
Many of our events are made possible due to the hard work of parent volunteers, both current and alumni parents. Many continue to generously give their time and expertise even after their last child has graduated! Please consider volunteering. Any level of involvement is most appreciated. We have volunteer opportunities for both boarding and day student parents. It will be a fun experience that will connect you to your child’s school in a most rewarding way.
Please browse the Parent pages and look through the Volunteer and Participate pages for more information.
Getting involved is easy - complete the Volunteer Sign Up form and we'll be in touch soon.
Thank you to everyone who has helped and participated in our events and services in the past. YOUR involvement is the reason we have such a dynamic LCS community!

Thank you to the parents, families, alumni and friends who joined us virtually for our first-ever Celebration of Giving at The Grove event on Tuesday, June 1, 2021.
Having come through a full fifteen months of learning within a pandemic, we congratulate the Class of 2021 on all that they have achieved, securing post-secondary placements from some of the world’s top universities!
Entrepreneurial ventures are alive and well at LCS. Earlier this year, some of our Grade 12 students launched LCS Eats (a local version of UberEats) and more recently, a group of students created a lunchtime specialty coffee business to provide the LCS community with delicious beverages throughout the week.
Students in Ondaatje House have teamed up with the 4th Line Theatre on The Purse Project, collecting purses and personal care items throughout December and January. These will be distributed to women in need in Peterborough and the Kawarthas.
On Monday, our Head of School Anne-Marie Kee made a special surprise announcement in Chapel: Tuesday, December 1 was declared a Head’s Holiday – Decorating Day! Holiday magic spread throughout The Grove as students decorated the campus with lights and other festive cheer, the sounds of music, laughter and singing filling the air.
